Some would say that the phrase is actually ruining rap. It’s downplaying what these rappers are actually about and what they can actually do. Sometimes the new generation of rappers is even referred to as EDM rappers.īut “mumble rap” isn’t a real term. Often times the beats tend to be a little bit more EDM friendly.
